It was remarkable that we would get a chance to work with textiles in this Bloghop. I knew the versatility of Brenda Pinnick's Die combined with Xotic Felt (felt made from bamboo) from National NonWovens would transform the ordinary headband into the extraordinary. It was as simple as sewing beads onto the cloth, attaching it to a headband, and I had a piece of wearable art. Sometimes it's important to make pretty things for yourself. After all, there's no harm in taking a break from your projects, cards and scrapbooks to embellish yourself.
Supplies: Sizzix Flower Die #655455, Beauty Bloom, Original Die by Brenda Pinnick, material or felt, assorted beads, needle and thread, headband.
Instructions: Cut a variety of flower shapes and sew together. Sew beads on fabric in a random pattern. I attached the flowers to the head band with a snap and small piece of cloth because I also wanted to also wear the flowers as a pin. After the beading was finished I squeezed the flowers to give them form and painted with fabric stiffener to hold the shape.
You look pretty, T! I love your headband. That tip about the fabric stiffener is genius. (Well, I mean to those who know what fabric stiffener is, which I don't, but I sort of do, because the description is very descriptive, no?)

Love your headband. Turquoise with green is one of my fav color combos. What a genius idea with the fabric stiffener. I just bought a bottle so I will remember this!

A pin and a beflowered headband. Very cool, esp the colors. Mahalo for sharing that you snapped the flower to the headband to make it do double duty as a pin.
