This card was inspired by the free Chocolate Chip cookies that the Curtis Hotel, in Denver, provides for all their guests on a daily basis. Now if the mini bar in the room would just stock milk instead of Scotch.
Supplies: Sizzix Bigz Die #656949, Pumpkin 3-D by Karen Burniston, Kraft paper 8 1/2x11, Brilliance Fast Drying Pigment Ink Color; Cosmic Copper and Crimson Copper, Versa Magic Chalk Ink, Gingerbread, red and orange paper. Because I wanted all my leaves to be uniform I used Sizzix Bigz Die Extra Long #656030, Tree 3-D (Pop-Up) by Karen Burniston (just the leaf portion).
Instructions: Trim Kraft Paper to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 or desired size. cut a smaller piece for the front and back. Distress edges, add embellishments and greeting to front, adhere. I used the leaf from the 3-D tree for uniformity but you could certainly cut out your own leaves. Distress leaves. Using instructions from Die assemble the red tree. Glue random leaves on red tree. Cut three circles from orange paper measuring; 1 1/4", 1", and 2". Distress and add leaves in a random pattern. Adhere all to inside of card. The card is thick and needs a closure. I used a round paperclip.
This makes me swoon, T! I love the colors and the idea and just everything about this! WOW!
